Hello, I'm Esther Jan.

I design to solve problems and to put smiles on people's faces.

Driven by how technology has shortened our distances, my works also leverage my past experiences in designing physical spaces to the digital world.

I'm a designer from Taipei, Taiwan, currently studying the Master of Information Management and Systems program at UC Berkeley, focusing on human-computer interaction and user experience design.

I also work as a freelance designer in graphic, illustration, and interior design. My clients include startup companies such as Like It Formosa, Airbnb Taiwan, FLUX Inc, and Deila.

I received a Bachelor of Architecture from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology in 2014. For the past four years, I've worked as an architectural designer in multi-disciplinary studios, taking parts in projects of different scales - ranging from residential interior to office architectures and urban development.

Through my work, I hope to enhance people's experiences within space, as well as, provoke further interactions and communications amongst human beings.

You can also find me doodling my day-to-day life into illustrations through my Instagram and Tumblr.
